Very Good throughout in heavily rubbed boards in G-VG dustwrapper/Dustwrapper. 8vo. b&w illustrations JM Dent re-issue of the story of convict John Graham, written and illustrated by Robert Gibbings with 40 b&w wood-engravings; being a tale of convict transportation from Ireland to Australia, shipwreck, and further experiences therefrom, including the rescue of Mrs Fraser (whose plight is depicted in the frontispiece illustration), which was effected by Graham for which he received a free pardon; this copy from the library of Australian artist Pamela Crawford, signed/dated by Crawford to front endpaper, and with stamp stating 'Gift of the Estate of Mrs Pamela Crawford'; Crawford (nee Sneeman) was part of the radical arts scene in Brisbane in the 1940's, a member of the Barjai Group and also connected to the Miya Studio; in 1988 she donated a large collection of books and artworks to the University of Queensland; light toning to endpapers, light scattered foxing, o.w. Very Good throughout; boards heavily worn; dustwrapper edgeworn and rubbed, and with some creases, o.w. G-VG
