First Edition, Third Issue, with frontisepiece attributed to Bo Beskov [not Stjernstrom]. This issue adds a Steinbeck holograph letter reproduced in facsimile. The letter is on on Pacific Biological Laboratories letterhead and is in response to THE GRAPES OF WRATH being selected by booksellers as their favorite novel of 1939. An early example of Steinbeckiana. Bound in the original rust color wraps. Goldstone & Payne F4. This issue NOT in Morrow.. First Edition, Third Issue. Softcover (stapled wraps). Very Good condition.
