Jonathan Swift was an Anglo-Irish author and pamphleteer, who is best known for his works 'A Tale of a Tub', 'Gulliver's Travels', and 'A Modest Proposal'. Victoria Glendinning is a British biographer, critic, broadcaster and novelist; she is an Honorary Vice-President of English PEN, a winner of the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, was appointed a CBE in 1998 and is Vice-President of the Royal Society of Literature. Illustrated throughout with numerous monochrome plates. In a cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart. Some very light shelfwear to the boards.
