Translated from Italian by Dorothy White. The book has six sections: I John's journal from 1895 to 1962; II Four Letters; III Spiritual Testament; IV The Holy Rosary; V Some Prayers; VI Appendices on various topics. Royal 8vo (6-1/2" x 9-1/2"), beige cloth with black quarter, gilt lettering and decoration, nutmeg-colored end papers, minimal shelf wear, a few pages dog-eared, in price-clipped DJ with small tears along top edges and corners. Old price in pencil on ffep, underscoring and/or margin brackets on approximately 70 pages.

Synopsis

Among his many accomplishments and triumphs, Pope John XXIII (1881-1963) is celebrated for convening the Second Vatican Council, commonly regarded as the most important event in religious history since the Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century.
