London: Vision, 1950. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Fair first UK printing. Publisher's black cloth with gilt stamped to cover and spine. Faded to spine. Wear to spine ends, edges and to boards. Stain to spine one inch from the bottom, lapping over slightly onto front cover. Binding still tight, with very slight lean to spine. Pages clean and unmarked. An uncommon first UK printing of arguably Celine's best known work.
