About This Item

Norfolk, CT: New Directions, 1961. First edition. Cloth-backed gray boards; small 4to. 29 pp. One of 300 copies printed on Hayle paper by Harry Duncan and Kim Merker at Iowa City. With enclosed letter TLs on Carruth's Vermont Crow's Mark Press stationary dated 1968, answering a librarian's question re: another book as well as this volume which they are seeking. Letter folded, but fine in the original envelope. [The letter only is signed.] The book's covers are horizontally creased, end papers offset from glue, a couple of fox spots on foreedge, else very good lacking tissue dust jacket. A scarce and lovely book, the author's third.
