Kate Greenaway's Birthday Book

This is a beautifully illustrated vintage copy of "KATE GREENAWAY'S Birthday Book" with its original dust jacket. I presume the book was published in 1962 based on what I believe to be a date code on the observe of the title page ("1062" = October, 1962). Published by Frederick Warne & Co. in London. The book features full-page color plates and hundreds of smaller illustrations by Kate Greenaway. Each day of the year is accompanied by a poem by Mrs. Sale Barker and an illustration by Greenaway. From the dust jacket: "Amongst the best illustrated books for children must be classed the delightful volumes by Kate Greenaway, whose charming drawings of little children in costumes such as only this artist could create, have been famous for many years. Smaller in size - the book measures 4" tall x 4" wide.

Condition:
The book is in Near Fine condition - clean both inside and out with only names written in pen on the "Presented To" page. No other writing - none of the lined pages have been written in. The dust jacket has soiling to the covers and spine; clean flaps; a pen squiggle has been written around the word "Great Britain" on the front flap; a price may have been clipped from the front flap, though I am not sure...overall the jacket is in Good condition.
