Internally there is a contemporary name and date to front endpaper else very clean, tight and unmarked. All edges gilt. 48 illustrations by Hugh Thomson. xxxii + 286 pages. The American author (1849-1925) was a novelist and short story writer whose work often depicted the culture and dialects of his native Kentucky. C3B. Hard Cover. Good AEG/No Jacket.
