First published in 1929, this is the new edition, published in 1930.Blue buckram, with title in gilt on spine and front cover. Condition: Good, although the covers are faded and sunned, particularly to the spine and cover edges. Some "bubbling" to cloth around the spine, not from damp but difficult to determine the cause.Light foxing to endpapers. Front endpaper bears the name G.Huxley (Gervas Huxley, husband of the writer on Africa, Elspeth Huxley), and the date 1933. Binding sound, text clean. 218pp. 55 illustrations, plus frontispiece. 3 sketch maps plus a folding general map of Mount Kenya to rear of book. This was the first book to be written devoted to Mount Kenya which had been clibmbed around the time of publication by P.Wyn Harris, Mr E E Shipton and Mr G A Sommerfelt..
