A wonderful Association copy: INSCRIBED BY BOTH SHERWOOD ANDERSON AND GEORGE JEAN NATHAN (drama critic and co-founder [along with H.L. Mencken] of The American Mercury and The American Spectator) TO SYLVIA SIDNEY (prominent 1930s actress and wife of Bennett Cerf, former head of Random House). A solid copy to boot of the 1936 1st edition (with the Scribner 'A' and colophon). Tight and VG (with light soiling to the panels and darkening along the hinges) in a bright, price-intact, VG dustjacket, with light creasing and chipping to the panel edges. Thick 12mo, 373 pgs. Signed by Author.
