Clean green cloth boards with black lettering and decorative title box on cover, black lettering on spine. No bumping or fraying. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Browning to endpapers with 1922 Christmas inscription, all text pages are clean and unmarked. Color frontispiece by Christine Tucke Curtiss. 323 pages. Illustrated dust jacket is clean with slight age-toning, chip at lower rear spine corner, wear at top spine edge with closed edge tears there; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. This volume contains five of Mrs. Wiggin's most characteristic and enjoyable short stories, telling the delightful tales of the waiting period of indecision which fall to the lot of the six heroines before giving their hearts and hands in marriage..
