Paris: Impr. impériale, 1869. An essay / Offprint on Florentine history. Soft paper covers, clean and tidy internally. Signed dedication to paper cover by the author, Abel Desjardins (1814-1886); a French historian. Desjardins was a professor of history at the Royal College of Angers (1843-1847). Having obtained a doctorate in letters, he was appointed professor of history at the Faculty of Letters in Dijon (1847-1856). In 1856, he transferred to the Faculty of Letters in Caen. In 1858, he was appointed to the Faculty of Letters of Douai where he remained until his death in 1886, holding the deanship during the same period (1858-1886). He was also a lecturer at the Faculty of Sciences in Lille. He was an expert in the history of diplomatic negotiations between France with Tuscany. 14 pages. 240 x 155 mm (9½ x 6 inches). . Un essai / Offprint sur l'histoire florentine. Couvertures en papier souple, intérieur propre et soigné. Dédicace signée sur la couverture par l'auteur, Abel Desjardins (1814-1886), historien français. Desjardins était professeur d'histoire au Collège royal d'Angers (1843-1847). Docteur ès lettres, il est nommé professeur d'histoire à la faculté des lettres de Dijon (1847-1856). En 1856, il est transféré à la faculté des lettres de Caen. En 1858, il est nommé à la Faculté des Lettres de Douai où il reste jusqu'à sa mort en 1886, occupant le poste de doyen pendant la même période (1858-1886). Il est également chargé de cours à la faculté des sciences de Lille. Il était spécialiste de l'histoire des négociations diplomatiques entre la France et la Toscane. 14 pages. 240 x 155mm
