London: T. Nelson and Sons, 1877. Half-Leather. Very Good. Beautifully Illustrated account of the Holy Land with the aim of aiding Bible study and a deeper understanding of the Holy Scriptures. Complete with Large Fold-Out Map. Frontispiece has a Sepia Illustration of Bethlehem. 11 other Full page Sepia Plates and many In-Text Drawings. In handsome contemprary Calf Half-Leather Binding, with 5 Raised Bands with "Rope-Twist" decoration to spine. Marbled Boards and Leather corners. Gilt title on Black ground in 2nd Compartment and small Black decorative designs and lines in the others. Fine blind tooled decorative borders where the leather meets the Marbled paper. Marbled Endpapers and all Page Edges. Nice original Presentation Label pasted on Endpaper, dated 1877. 718 Pages, 920g, 7 1/2" Tall. Very slight edge wear. Only an occasional spot of foxing. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
