Being born in India inspired much of his work, and he went on to become one of the most popular writers of his time. Kipling became the Lord Rector of St Andrews University in 1922.From the library of A. P. Watt & A. S. Watt of A. P. Watt and Son, literary agent of Rudyard Kipling. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping and fading to the head and tail of the spine. Spine is a little faded. Edge wear to the dust wrapper, heavier to the head and tail of the spine. A few small marks to the wraps, spine is age-toned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed
