Ernest Nister is of course most famous of his children's, movable, and pop-up books. This is not a movable, but nonetheless abundantly displays Nister's design talent. This was Charles P. Sherman's copy with his armorial bookplate (with the Sherman family coat of arms: a lion rampant sable between three oak leaves; sea-lion sejant sable, charged on the shoulder with three bezants; and motto: Mortem Vince Virtute)..
