With a colour frontispiece by N. C. Wyeth and a further monochrome plate by Harry Rountree. Collated complete. With fourteen pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. A volume of short stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, including a total of eighteen gripping tales. This volume includes 'The Last Galley', 'Through the Veil', 'The Coming of the Huns', 'The Silver Mirror'' 'Giant Maximin', and more. In the original red publisher's binding. Externally generally smart with bumping to the extremities and head and tail of the spine. Damp staining to the extremities of the boards, with tidemarks to the gutter and extremities of the pastedowns. Front hinge slightly strained but firm. Evidence of bookplate removal to front pastedown. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot, heavier to the first and last few pages. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
