Liverpool; 1850-1851: Edited and Published by Orson Pratt. Octavo. Two years bound in one volume. Published twice a month on the 1st and the 15th. Volume 12 & 13 each are preceded by a preface and an index. There is an article written by Wm. Gibson titled Remarks on the Book of Mormon, another article on Emigration which discusses travel by 350 wagons of Salt Lake Emigrants and the captains of each division took between 50 wagons to 100 wagons of which many of the wagons were too light to fill with families and their belongings along with food and other necessities. Several other stories pertaining to the Mormons, their life, Utah, and its history. This publications was published monthly, semi-monthly as with this issue and weekly beginning in Manchester 1840-1842; then Liverpool 1845-1852 then on to London. Bound in full calf decorated with a Greek key frame in gilt, flat spine with lettering and gilt Greek key design. Very clean text. Two closed tears with no loss of text, Vol. 12, page 313 upper right corner, page 363, tear upper left corner.
