Organic Gardening series, 3. Information on leaves, their uses, compostability, and identification. Originally published by the magazine Organic Gardening as part of a series of in-depth discussions on specific topics in horticulture. Although Meyer became a US citizen in 1935, his outspoken support for the Nazis resulted in his internment as an enemy alien and revocation of his citizenship (he successfully sued to get it restored). Fired from his academic job, he became an editor in Pennsylvania at Rodales Organic Gardening, before eventually returning to academia teaching German.
