A decorative German edition of Vasari's classic study of the great artists of the Renaissance. Berlin: Verlag von Julius Bard, 1923. First published in 1550. Frontispiece and 15 double-sided plates. All text is in German. 446 + (6) pp. 12mo hardcover in printed paper boards. VG with light wear, minor darkening at the spine. Text pages, but not the illustrations, are browned due to paper quality. Well-preserved otherwise.
