A First Edition of this exciting crime thriller by English screenwriter and novelist Ted Willis. This is a First Edition of the work, in original publisher's black cloth binding with unclipped Dust Wrapper. Ted Willis was an English playwright, screenwriter and novelist known for writing for many television series during and after the Second World War. He was behind the creation of many different programmes, including Dixon of Dock Green, Virgin of the Secret Service and The Adventures of Black Beauty. This particular work follows the story of Christine Ritchie, who is plunged into a world of espionage after her husband's disappearance. From London to Beirut, this novel tells the tale of a dangerous world of spies and counter-spies, with many twists and turns. This work has since been turned into a series on Radio Four. In original publisher's black cloth binding with original unclipped Dust Wrapper. Externally, excellent, with just minor shelf wear only. Light offsetting to endpapers. Dust Wrapper in very good condition, with minor shelf wear and light offsetting to the rear inner flap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with light age toning as is common with the type of paper used. Near Fine
