George W. Prescott Publishing Co, 1965. Hardcover. Like New/Fair. Signed. 62 pages. Hardcover book, in original glassine dust jacket, with 8 folding maps and charts, plus a booklet in wrappers, titled Two Forts Named Independence, by Edward Rowe Snow (The Glenrose Press, Braintree, MA, 1967.) The book is not signed but the booklet in wrappers is inscribed and signed by the author in red marker on the front cover. Book has black cloth spine and marbled paper covered boards, with gilt titling on the spine, and is illustrated with black and white photos. Lacks the four chips of wood that should be pasted in at the back (glue stains on rear pastedown where the chips were removed.) Light wear to corners and spine ends, otherwise book is near fine. Pages are clean and unmarked, and the binding is tight. Dust Jacket has chipping and tears around edges and on spine, and is fair. Slipcase has light soiling, age browning, light wear at the corners. Maps and charts have light wear on folds and age browning and are near fine. The signed booklet has light soiling and edge wear on wrappers, a light crease affecting covers and pages, and is clean and unmarked inside and Very Good. Jacket Condition: Fair. Size: 8vo - over 7 3/4 in - 9 3/4 in Tall. Year: 1965.
