Colorful pictorial front board which depicts young Leif, "sturdy, adventurous son of Erik The Red,".Mild rubbing to extremities.Illustrated by stone (crayon) lithographs and printed in five colors by George C. Miller of New York. Alternating black and white, and color illustrations throughout. Approximately 60 pp. Original $2.00 price to top of dustjacket flap. Dustjacket edgeworn with closed tears, and has done its job well to protect the book within. A nice, clean, if slightly "loved" book about a young lad, brave and adventurous. "Erik the Red had three sons. The one was called Torstein, the second Torvald, and the third was called Leif. And this is the story of Leif, Erik's son, who sailed with his father to Greenland and who later sailed still farther west and found there the continent of America.
