In 1952 Len Beadell was set the task of finding an appropriate site to explode an atomic bomb in Australia, and then a second site, Maralinga, where seven atomic bombs were exploded. In 1955 Beadell headed a group that became known as the Gunbarrel Road Construction Party which in eight years constructed about 6,000 kilometres of roads. 144 pages with 82 colour photographs and a map. Book and dust jacket in as new condition.
