London: John Lehmann, 1952. First Edition. Near Fine/Near Fine. First British edition, first printing. Signed by Paul Bowles and inscribed to a former owner on the half-title page, "For Gregory Stephenson [,] inscribed in Tangier on the occasion of his first visit there. 15/VIII/79 [signed] Paul Bowles". Bound in publisher's original pale blue cloth with spine decorated in red. Near Fine with some light fading and discoloration to cloth, light bumping to corners, small vintage bookseller ticket to front pastedown, pages toned, pp. 31 roughly cut. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with toning and light edge wear. A beautiful copy, signed by the ex-pat while in Tangier.
