Letters of Isak Dinesen (Karen Blixen), 1885-1962, to family and friends, first published in Danish in 1978. Translated by Anne Born, edited for the Rungstedlund Foundation by Frans Lasson with his "The Rain at Ngong: An Introduction to the Letters of Isak Dinesen". 8vo, tan cloth with copper gilt lettering on spine, black end papers, minimal shelf wear, corners sharp, faint foxing to top edge, in unclipped DJ with light soil and wear including small holes along rear flap fold. Names of former owners written on copyright page, marginalia (many small check marks, some notes) and some underscoring in light pencil on approximately one-third of the pages.
