Synopsis

Mark Twain's Letters from the Earth is a posthumously published collection of fragments, short stories, and essays. In one tale, The Damned Human Race , Twain proves in a well-formed, comprehensive argument, that an anaconda snake is a higher form of life than English nobility. The title tale, Letters from the Earth , consists of letters written by the archangel Satan to other archangels in Heaven about the ridiculous nature of human religious beliefs.
