Original textblock rebound in marbled paper over boards with leather spine and fore corners. Spine titled and ruled in gilt. Some very mild foxing to interior text block.. Knox was an educator, having succeeded his father as headmaster of Tonbridge School. Here are 40 interesting essays in which he gives his views on education--everything from learning classics by heart to developing a proficiency in Greek to private tuition to giving boys a sense of religion. A handsome and interesting volume.
