London: Printed by Thomas Davison for Harding and Lepard, 1827. Second Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Octavo. xxvii, 542 pages. Hardcover bound in 3/4 deep plum morocco with marbled paper-covered boards. All edges marbled. The binding shows light to moderate rubbing and wear. Heavier rubbing to the boards. The hinges are secure and supple and the gilt on the spine is bright. Marbled endpapers. A bit of foxing to the prelims and endpapers, but the text itself is generally clean. Collates complete with 8 engravings. An attractive copy.

We specialize in North Carolina, Virginia, Civil War, Old Leather, Christianity, Eastern and Western Philosophies, and the simply unusual. We very likely have the oldest books in Greensboro; we keep a nice selection of antiquarian volumes and scholarly books.
