Jackson and Walford, 1848. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1848. Second Edition. 544 pages. No dust jacket. Vol. I. Dark brown embossed cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Pages are rough cut. Pages are moderately tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front paste-down, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Mild cracking to hinges and gutters, with exposed netting. Gutters are crinkled, with visible thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with noticeable bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Small split to spine end.
