London: Richard Bentley, 1832. 2 volumes. xii and 448 pages; viii and 442 pages. Frontispiece portrait, plan of prison at Seringapatam, 2 folding maps of Egypt. Contemporary full diced red calf; the covers are beginning to fade and there is a little light foxing. Baird was captured by Hyder Ali in 1783 while serving in the 73rd Regiment but gained his revenge in 1799 when he stormed Seringapatam. He was second in command under Moore at Corunna.
