Bound by Baynton of Bath. 12 pages of publisher ads end of Vol. ! with original cloth covers and spines laid-in. First book form edition. First published serially in "Good Words" magazine the same year, 1891. Considered Barrie's best work, one of several of his novels based in the fictional town of Thrums, modeled after Barrie's home village of Kirriemuir. Raised bands, spines richly gilt, green and tan spine labels, inner dentelles, marbled enpapers.
