Complete with unclipped dust wrapper. The author's second published book, set in 1930s London.'The Twyborn Affair', first edition. Complete with unclipped dust wrapper. In three parts, retracing history from before the Great War, the inter-war period, and London in the lead-up to the Second World War. The novel was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1979, but was removed at the request of the author, that it make way for the work of younger and more deserving writers. Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
