Beautifully illustrated and in the original dust wrapper. A smart first edition in the original dust wrapper. Volume VII of XXVIII of the Lonsdale Library of Sports, Games and Pastimes series. Compiled by numerous contributors including Sir Charles Frederick, James Andrews, Cecil Aldin, Lord George Scott, Richard Clapham, Major Guy Paget and Major M. E. Barclay. Illustrated with four colour plates, eighteen reproductions of hunting pictures, and forty-five illustrations. Recto of front endpaper signed by previous owner. Undated, dated using Jisc from a copy held at the British Library. In the original publisher"s cloth binding, with dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Some edgewear to the extremities to the dust wrapper. Some chipping to extremities of the dust wrapper, particularly the head and tail of the spine. Dust wrapper is age-toned. Writing to spine is lightly faded. Some light spotting to endpapers and pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Dated signature to recto of front endpaper. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
