Dublin: The Cuala Press, 1925. Robin Flower (1881-1946) was an English poet and scholar of both Anglo-Saxon and Irish. "The poems here translated are in the main of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and correspond in time to the lyrics of the Elizabethan, Jacobean and Caroline poets in English" [from Flower's Preface].This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition which was LIMITED to 500 copies. Not a common book.Light blue-gray paper-covered boards with a linen spine; titled in black on the front cover and a paper spine label. Clean text; 35 pages. A previous-owner has noted in pencil on the second free endpaper the purchase from Sotheby's in 1943 Endpapers have some offset; linen spine is a bit darkened, and there is some sunfase around the margins. In an archival plastic protector.. Limited. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
