New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1910 Book. Good Plus. Hardcover. Reprint. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Original light blue cloth with dark blue lettering and decoration. Last date on copyright page is October, 1910. Hinges firm. No writing. Line of tiny yellow spots across the front cover. Minor edgewear. Most pages creased at top corners. The author was very close to her parents, who provided the inspiration for the "charming elderly couple" in this book of short stories. Gale would go on to become the first woman to win a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1921. 341 pp. plus 2 pp. of Advertising..
