London: Madame Tussaud's, 1884. Paperback. Good +. xii, 44, [1], xiv-xxv, [1] p.: illustrations; 25 cm. Illustrated wrapper, stitched, printed in red, green, and gilt; back wrapper has illustrated advertisement for Cadbury's Cocoa. Wrapper title. Wrappers are included in pagination. Illustrated advertisements on pages ii-xxv; the exhibition catalog itself is not illustrated. The illustrated advertisements include the Henry Heath felt hat-forming machine; Taddy & Co.'s tobaccos; British Patent Perforated Toilet Paper; John Carter's Literary Machine for holding a book; The Royal Holborn hall (late Weston's); Eno's Fruit Salt Works; and Swanbill Corsets. "27385" printed at upper corner of front wrapper. A former owner wrote in pencil next to the description of Lady Jane Grey "very pretty." In Good+ Condition: wrapper is lightly soiled; minor loss at tail of spine; lacking upper corner of pp. xi-xii without loss of printing; minor corner creasing of a few pages; pages are clean and tight.
