Beverly Hills, CA: The Magazine, 1933. Softcover. Good/ Very good. Softcover. Quarto. 5 of the first six issues, (lacking May-June issue). Edited and published by John McAllister, Richard Perry, Fred Kuhlman, and Arthur Rohman. An important and apolitical monthly/bimonthly, with a strong showing by California writers associated with Stanford University and Yvor Winters. (Albert Guerard, Lincoln Fitzell, Howard Baker, J.V. Cunningham, Don Stanford, Janet Lewis, Clayton Stafford, et al) Also includes many writers not from California including William Saroyan, Josephine Herbst, Norman Macleod with the first two selections from William Carlos Williams', "White Mule" and an early story and poem by Elizabeth Bishop. First issue, more worn than others, with rubbing, chips small edge tears and short spine splits. Other issues have a little toning and light wear.
