Ted Berrigan (November 15, 1934 – July 4, 1983) was an American poet, born in Providence, Rhode Island and who spent a year at Providence College before joining the U.S. Army with whom he spent three years. He graduated from the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma, earned a B.A. in English in 1959 and almost earned also an M.A. He was married to Sandy Berrigan, also a poet. He was a peer to "Jim Carroll, Anselm Hollo, Alice Notley, Ron Padgett, Anne Waldman, Bernadette Mayer, and Lewis Warsh." 47 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
