About This Item
New York: Cupples & Leon, 1932. 1st Edition . Near Fine. Near-fine with "This is my Book" on flyleaf neatly filled out, otherwise clean and bright. In a very good plus dust jacket with light edgewear and a few small closed tears. Cupples & Leon used no first printing designation, so other titles from the series listed in the book or on the jacket flaps are the only clues to the printing history. This has three titles--Maxie An Adorable Girl, Maxie In Venezuela and Maxie Searching for Her Parents listed on the front flap and the copyright page, followed by the statement "other volumes in preparation." Since all three books were published in 1932, I believe this is an indicator of a first printing (anyone with additional information, please let me know). In any event, finding the first volume of this series in such an attractive dust jacket is definitely uncommon.
