About the author

Jason Theodosakis, M.D., M.S., M.P.H., is a well-known board-certified physician and lecturer in preventative medicine who has trained in exercise physiology and sports medicine. He is Assistant Clinical Professor and the director of the Preventative Medicine Residency Training Program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. He lives in Arizona.
Brenda Adderly, M.H.A., is a health-care researcher and strategic management consultant. She holds a master's degree in health services administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Her health-care career includes HMO and managed-care consulting, and she worked at the U.S. Public Health Services as a staff assistant under Dr. C. Everett Koop. She is currently Senior Manager, Business Development and Client Services, at the RAND Corporation, and the editor of "Brenda Adderly's Health-Watch" newsletter.
