N.S.W. Bookstall Co, Sydney, 1924. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Percy Lindsay. list of illustrations. Within the text there are 7 full-page black and white illustrations drawn by Percy Lindsay. Red coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. A book by the creator of "Dad and Dave", showing the characteristic use of Australian idiom. Corners of books are bumped and slightly rubbed, the head and the heel of the spine are soft and bumped. Fading of the cloth has occurred particularly on spine. There are marks, staining and rubbing on the book surfaces. The top paper edge is heavily dust marked and foxed, the other paper edges are brown and foxed foxing extends into the book, but does not intrude on text. Basically an early 20th-century book with a few wrinkles of age. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 266 pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Percy Lindsay.
