John Ollivier. London. 1846. TWO VOLUMES. Second edition. 8vo. (8.9 x 5.8 inches). EXTRA ILLUSTRATED SET. 6 published engravings by Cruikshank plus an extra 98 plates, mostly 18th and early 19th century, including one hand coloured engraving, and one colour lithograph. Finely bound in nineteenth century full red morocco by Zaehnsdorf. Boards with multiple ruled borders and inner panel with decorative corner pieces. Spines with five raised bands, each with gilt piping. Compartments fully gilt with decoration and lettering. Inner boards with gilt ruling and decoration. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. A little rubbing to the extremities and a couple of very minor bumps to edges but overall a near fine bright set in lovely decorative bindings.
