First edition, first state (undamaged page number on p. 3; weighs 15.8 ounces). Collection of 14 short stories, including the first appearance in book form of "The Killers," the Hemingway classic that has been made into 4 films. The book is in good to very good condition: clean and tight, with fading and mottling of color on covers; pages lightly toned; some minor foxing limited to last 15 pages. The dust jacket is NOT present.. First Edition. Hardcover. Collectible-Good+/No Dust Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Book.

Synopsis

First published in 1927, Men Without Women is an early Hemingway collection containing fourteen short stories that are beginning to show the normal Hemingway themes: war and it's casualties, the interactions between men and women, sports, and violence. "Banal Story," "In Another Country," "The Killers," "Ten Indians," "Hills Like White Elephants," "The Undefeated," "Fifty Grand," "In Another Country," "Now I Lay Me," "A Canary for One," and more.
