This was evidently a present to Miss Bayard of Boston from Dr. Clarence J. Blake (1843-1919), professor of otology at Harvard Medical School, who worked with Alexander Graham Bell to develop the ear phoautograph, a tool to transcribe speech sounds to help the deaf perfect their speech. In Very Good Condition: ends of spine slightly frayed; spine label rubbed and faded; cloth is lightly soiled; pages are clean and crisp.
