About This Item
Washington, D.C.: Government Printing Office, 1866. Very Good -. 7 p.; 23 cm. Disbound. Johnson vetoed a bill that would have granted the New York and Montana Iron Mining and Manufacturing Company access to coal lands with much greater rights than those granted to individuals, which would be "unequal, and hostile to the policy and principles which sanction pre-emption laws"; and that would allow the company to take possession of land "before the Indian title is extinguished." Scarce. In Very Good- Condition: disbound; first and last leaf are separated; clean and solid.
