London: Nicholson & Watson, 1948 Book. Poor. Hard Cover with Dust Jacket. 1st UK Edition. Poor/VG+. 1st UK Edition. Crime thriller. Jacket by Tex. BOOK: Has been chewed by a rat or a small dog! Spine and bottom board corners chewed, torn & frayed; various indentations in boards suggesting sharp implement used. Binding and pages largely okay, except for some wear & indentations on the bottom page block corner. JACKET: How it escaped is a mystery in itself, but there are no signs of chew ing. Spine head & rear flap hinge corners chipped, edgewear & tears, and 2 perforations on front panel top, some abrasion to hinges. Scan of jacket and/or damaged boards on request..
