About This Item

New York: The Macmillan Company, 1947. First American . Hardcover. Fair/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 220pp. Pp. 5--7 admit to several short tears and creases to outer margin, with no effect on the reading of the text. Ex-library, though no library treatments to cloth covers. Binding very slightly cocked, and boards perhaps very slightly bowed. Several minor bumps to extremities of volume, with just light additional wear and soiling to exterior. A hint of a crease to cloth over spine, though this isn't terribly offensive. Another previous owner's bookplate to front paste-down. Price-clipped dust-jacket admits to fairly heavy wear, including chips and tears, medium rubbing, and a sticker and clear tape to lower spine area. Overall, still a good, clean, sound, user friendly copy
