Seattle-area resident Tanya Rider crashed her blue SUV in 2007 and disappeared without a trace. Her husband, Tom, reported her missing and found himself at the center of a police investigation. Eight days after the crash, Tanya's rescue was covered by every major national media outlet. She survived for more than a week in a wrecked car that had become her potential tomb. This is the story of her survival and her husband's fight for justice.

Tanya Rider lives in the Seattle, Washington, area with her husband Tom where she continues to live life with a positive attitude while recovering from her injuries.

Tracy C. Ertl is a 911 dispatcher for Brown County in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Ertl works 911 calls and dispatches police officers and firefighters. She is a national instructor for APCO International and is recognized as an expert in deploying communications tactics during active shooter incidents.
