Raised bands ruled in gilt. Leather rubbed. Marbled endpapers and marbled edges. Internally tight and clean with only very occasional and light foxing. One plate with discrete expert archival repair. very good An attractive copy of this veterinary work, finely bound and heavily illustrated with numerous colour and black and white lithographs. The majority of the work is dedicated to horses but also includes information on cattle, sheep and pigs. The fine lithographs depict many different varieties of horses and cattle as well as anatomical features of the animals. A handsome book. 1870
