A set of this work by Max Von Boehn. Complete in four volumes. Volume I contains: From the Decline of the Ancient World to the Renaissance Volume II contains: The Sixteenth Century Volume III contains: The Seventeenth Century Volume IV contains: The Eighteenth Century Illustrated throughout with 104 colour plates. In blue cloth bindings in the original clipped dustwrappers. Externally, very smart with just some rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. Ex library ink stamps, inscriptions and markings to front free-endpapers. Front hinge strained to volume II. Dustwrappers generally smart with age toning and occasional spots. Spines browned. Dustwrapper to volume I in parts, with loss to the spine and heavy spotting and chipping. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
